Volunteers...

Open Visitation
We offer weekly open visitation times for anybody that is interested in becoming involved with nursing home ministry. If you are interested, please contact us for the place and time of the next available visitation.

Other Opportunities
We have many volunteer opportunities available. Whatever your ability and time available to commit, there is a way for you to serve

Prayer and Visitation Volunteer
We would encourage everyone to think about serving in this way. An individual who serves as a prayer and visitation volunteer is committing to pray regularly for one or two people and visit them at least once a month. We will introduce you to people who have requested prayer and visitation and help you in any other way possible.
Time Commitment: 1 hour a month

Prayer Volunteer
While we do encourage visitation by our prayer volunteers whenever possible, we do understand that many people are unable to do so. Because of this, we hope that everyone who cannot do visitation will consider being a prayer volunteer. We will provide all of the information to you about someone who needs prayer, and all you need to do is commit to praying regularly. We will keep you updated on the status of your prayer recipient and pass along any new prayer requests.
Time Commitment: Just regular prayer

Liaison
Because many of our prayer volunteers are unable to visit their prayer recipients themselves, we rely on liaisons to meet with those people at least once a month to remind them they are being prayed for and to pass along any new prayer requests. Typically, each liaison will work with about three people.
Time Commitment: 1 hour a month

Volunteer Supporter
Our greatest need right now is for individuals to focus primarily on the day-to-day support of prayer volunteers and liaisons. These volunteers work in the nursing homes to make contact with individuals who would like to be prayed for, and then to introduce the prayer volunteer and/or liaison to them. This generally requires someone who can go to the nursing home at least every other week.
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours a month

Board Member
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we rely an active Board of Directors to set the overall direction of the ministry and approve all major policy or financial decisions. We require Board members to be active an a ministry that works with a group of people that we are ministering to (e.g. nursing homes, prison ministries, childrens' homes, or hospice.)
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a month
